Start with the Build Plan. Paying $5,000 to build the wrong thing is the expensive mistake, not paying $750 to find out what the right thing is. It comes off the build anyway.
Build Sprint. If you can point at one repeated process and describe what should happen instead, the problem is defined enough to build against at a fixed fee.
Full System Build. Once a fix has to touch more than one system, or more than one person has to act inside it, you are building a system rather than a tool.
Apply anyway. The application asks about the bottleneck, the manual process behind it, and what a working system should do. That is usually enough for me to tell you which path fits.
The final price depends on how many systems connect and how much of the process is already defined. You get a written quote before anything starts.
